Text:

Ornamenstürm is a series of site-specific mixed media drawings and spatial interventions. The work references the historic practice of Bilderstürm and focuses on the ornamental elements of public and private interior architecture.

For the first installation, the subject was the interior of the former East German (DDR) building, which currently houses Autocenter Contemporary Art Berlin—A space built under modern ideals at a time when such decoration was being systematically stripped from the public realm.
