I’m pleased to announce that I’ve been selected for the John Moores Painting Prize 2025. The exhibition opens at Walker Art Gallery in Liverpool on September 6th and continues until March 1st, 2026.

The biennial prize is one of the UK’s most prestigious contemporary painting exhibitions, dating back to 1957 and with Peter Doig, Rose Wylie, David Hockney, Mary Martin and Sir Peter Blake amongst its alumni. Today, it continues its mission to bring together the very latest in painting from across the UK, providing a platform for artists to inspire, disrupt and challenge the British painting scene.

This year’s jury comprises: Louise Giovanelli (artist), Gemma Rolls-Bentley (curator), Michael Simpson (artist), Dr. Zoé Whitley (curator, writer), Zhang Enli (artist).
